Hi everyone! Welcome to Michigan Massage and Wellness! Here's a little about how I got to where I am today....
I've spent my entire life in Michigan and in my early 20's, studied business administration while working in the automotive industry. I liked my job and the work but valued my time and freedom over being a cubicle slave, so on a whim one evening I enrolled at Irene's Myomassology Institute in Southfield, Michigan where I completed a 600 hour program and graduated in June 2003. The course of study included Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology and elective massage courses that included Thai, Shiatsu, Prenatal, Infant, Hot Stone, Sports, Myoskeletal Alignment and Myofascial Release. After graduation, I bounced around a bit trying to find my niche in day spas, chiropractic offices, physical therapy and massage clinics. Once again not wanting to be stuck on someone else's schedule and 'rules', I stumbled into my own practice (a bit by accident) and I opened Royal Oak Massage in October, 2004 and in May 2017 I moved to Troy and rebranded myself as Michigan Massage and Wellness.
I thrive on fixing people. Whether it's using Lokte Method to relieve plantar fasciitis from that marathon someone just ran to incorporating fascial stretch therapy for improved range of motion to teaching a class using Yoga Tune Up therapy balls, after a visit you will see what sets us apart.
I am a licensed massage therapist (7501004442), a 12+ year member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. I also worked in the apprentice program at Irene's from 2004-2005. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, photography, working out, cooking, spending time with my dogs Elliot and Cooper and pursuing my other passion as a Primal Health Coach.

Received April 2017. The Roll Model Method is a soft-tissue conditioning, self-care fitness format that uses the various Roll Model® Therapy Balls for self-myofascial release (self-massage). Several different balls are used and each provide a different size and density to help target various body areas uniquely and allow for varying pressure needs to help craft an individualized approach.
