My name is Nancy Guinto. I am a New York licensed and nationally certified massage therapist with 15 years experience. I specialize in therapeutic and traditional Swedish, Hot Stone, and Shiatsu massage as well as more holistic wellness massage such as Aromatherapy and Reiki. From a very young age I have always held an interest in helping others. I was an Elementary School Teacher for 20 years prior to being a Massage Therapist. I still work with children and adults today helping them experience the joy of music as a piano teacher and music school owner. For me, the motivating force of being a Massage Therapist is the experience of helping others to calm and soothe their nervous system to positively affect the mind and body into a metabolic state of healing. Massage is not just about (literally) changing your brain wavelength, heart rate, blood pressure, immune system, digestion (and essentially all body systems) to a state of calm, it is about reconnecting and rebalancing one’s vibrational life energy and sense of peace - similar to meditation.
