My name is Jason Carlton, and I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist through the Virginia board of Nursing. I am also Nationally Certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. I grew up South Carolina, and graduated from massage therapy school in Columbia in 2010. Since then I've worked in chiropractic offices and massage clinics where I've had the opportunity to help hundreds of clients and patients each year. In 2012, I relocated to Richmond with my awesome dog Shelby, and started Carlton Bodyworks in 2017. The work I do is my own blend of deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and sports massage. While it often has an overall relaxation flow to it, my style is geared mostly toward those seeking relief from pain and discomfort. I especially love working with clients who are interested in taking a holistic, team-oriented approach to their care. I'm passionate about personal growth and development, and in my free time, I enjoy staying active by getting outdoors with friends and my dog, calisthenics strength training, and running. This profession brings together my passions for wellness, service, and making the world a better place. I am grateful for this opportunity.

My deep tissue massage for migraines was exactly what I was looking for. Focusing on my trigger points has significantly helped my chronic headaches. Not only is Jason skilled and professional but he is also sensitive and kind.

Carlton is always professional and friendly. He listens to my concerns and spends the necessary time needed to resolve my problem areas. I love that Carlton gives you the full time you pay for! A lot of massage therapist deduct dressing, undressing and the initial evaluation of concerns as part of the massage. Carlton gives you the full hour of massage time while still taking time to listen to your concerns. I highly recommend Carlton for anyone looking for a excellent therapeutic massage !
