Massage Therapy Program
Traditional Thai Massage Level 1-4
With sports massage and Thai massage experience, Lyn has figured out a way to incoporate those two modalities to create a slightly different approach to chair massage. Lyn has also been invited several times to share her knowledge and skills in chair massage to massage students at Renton Technical College.
Even before graduating from RTC massage school in 1998-99, Lyn's class were learning the Paul St. John’s technique of Neuromuscular Therapy. She continued to further her NMT skills by attending levels 1-5 within 4 years after graduating.
Sports Masage was the very first thing Lyn started doing as soon as she received her massage license at the Courage Classic event from 1999 to 2013. Lyn also receives invitations to teach her version of sports massage at a local massage school almost every year. She now holds Table Thai/Sports Massage CEU workshops a few times a year since 2017.
Lyn attended Spirit Winds School of Thai Massage between 2003 and 2005 to learn Traditional Thai Massage levels 1-2 as well as traveling to Bali for a Thai Massage retreat under the guidance of her teacher, Janice Gagnon. Lyn returned to Nevada City in 2013 to further her knowledge with level 3 & 4 of Tradition Thai Massage to learn a more diagnostic approach using Sen Lines.
Lyn's has been incorporating Massage Cupping methods since 2012 after attending a workshop by Jason Abbey, LMP. Since using massage cupping, Lyn has seen great improvements in increased joint movements and range of motion as well as decreasing pain in most of her clients.
Courage Classic in Washington state was the beginning of several cycling events providing sports massage in 1999. From the Courage Classic, it lead to working with Tim Kneeland & Associates' cycling events such as WA Alps, Coast to Coast, and California Coast Classic. Currently lead LMP with Obliteride and The People's Coast Classic which is now known as Arthritis Bike Classic Oregon.
Lyn uses myofascial release techniques in almost all her sessions to help decrease restrictions and pain, increasing joint mobility and range of motion.
