Melissa
has been at STM since 2010 and took over the business in February of
2013. She graduated from Everest College training in Swedish, Deep Tissue,
and Treatment massage as well as Spa modalities. Thanks to her dependability
and loyalty Melissa is available to answer any questions or concerns regarding
your massage or your massage therapist.
Melissa has a great touch for those elderly
patients and is excellent with those who suffer with the discomforts of
pregnancy. She not only loosens the tight muscles but gets you to relax at the
same time without causing too much pain. Melissa is very good at working with
injuries from car accidents such as whiplash or on the job injuries, Multiple
Sclerosis, breast cancer recovery, pre and post-op surgery massage,
overuse/repetitive stress injuries, sciatic pain, tendonitis and massage prep
for marathon runners, and general back pain. She is certified in cupping , warm bamboo massage and
kinesiotaping and is in the process of getting her certification in
Reflexology!
With that in mind she has excellent abilities
to suit your injury needs of all kinds. Her great communication and
listening skills help understand the client's needs better to assure that when
you leave your massage you will be on the road to optimum recovery. Her pressure
can vary from light to deep depending on the client's needs or preferences.
*Melissa is not currently
taking on new patients due to her current work load but happily refers patients
to any one of our other great therapists!*
