We each have purpose to our lives and our life's work. I was moved by my calling toward hands-on massage therapy and skilled, trained, compassionate touch starting in early childhood. From 2013-2016 I trained at the Oregon School of Massage.
The type of work I offer:
--I offer Shiatsu, an eastern style approach to bodywork. The client is fully clothed and the therapist is following the channels/meridians of the body, as taught by ancient Chinese wisdom, to bring the Qi (vital life-force energy) into greater ease and harmony. The primary aim of this form of Shiatsu is to free up areas of stagnant Qi. Clients often feel a deeper sense of relaxation and restfulness after this type of session than they had previously experienced from the traditional type of massage they'd received prior.
--I offer Swedish massage. In this approach, the client is undressed, always draped under the sheet. The client and the practitioner discuss goals for the session and create a plan to achieve those goals.
--What I find I offer clients most often is a blend of Shiatsu skills/techniques/energy flow with the skin-to-skin contact and techniques of Swedish massage.
How clients report feeling after a session with me:
"More in touch with my body"
"Very relaxed"
"I drooled on your sheets, I'm sorry"
-Increased range of motion in painful/tender areas
-Soothed
-Comforted
-Cared for very authentically during our time together
-Attended to, that I was able to offer what they needed without having to repeat themselves
-Excellent pressure
-Deeper sleep after session
