Massage Therapy is a career I have always thought I would be interested in. I have always had the desire to help others in ways that can improve their long-term health and wellness. In 2012, I had the wonderful opportunity to begin the massage therapy program at Irene’s Myomassology Institute. Throughout the program, I not only learned how to give a massage, but I learned about the anatomy and health behind massage therapy. After a year of learning a plethora of information, this program helped strengthen my knowledge about the importance of massage and how it can positively impact someone’s life physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
My top three massages I focus on are sports therapy massage, prenatal massage, and hot stone massage. I also have practiced Swedish massage and deep tissue.
I graduated in the Fall of 2013 and passed the massage therapy board exam. Becoming a licensed massage therapist was the best decision I have ever made because I have always had a strong passion for healing my patients and making them feel like a whole new person. I have been practicing massage for seven years now and I am looking forward to continue improving the overall health of both my current patients as well as my future patients.
