My formal training in massage began at the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA, in 2000, focusing on Deep Tissue and Sports Injuries. I’ve continued to study Craniosacral Therapy with the Milne Institute and have received extensive training in advanced injury work, myofacial release, and clinical and neuromuscular therapies.
I began my professional career in the visual and performing arts. After incurring a severe rotator cuff injury while practicing a new act, I became disillusioned with my medical treatment, and began receiving and studying alternative therapies. I was deeply impressed with the cross fiber friction massage I received that lead to my recovery, and thus my eventual pursuit of massage therapy as a career.
My focus for each session is tailored to your individual, immediate and long-term goals, ultimately directing your body to its midline where balance is restored to the body and mind.
I practice Aikido, and Raja Yoga, I’ve also been spending more time on my bike testing
my reflexes on the city streets, and I am currently training myself with
longer rides into the suburban wilds. Otherwise you can find me with my
kids or hard at work practicing guitar.
