I was first introduced to massage therapy while pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training at Missouri State University. As an athletic trainer, I understood the importance of addressing the muscles when not only treating injuries- but in prevention techniques to avoid injury as well. After completing my first year of graduate school, I chose to attend the professional massage training center to further my education in massage therapy modalities.
After graduation, I opened a spa where I offered swedish, sports, event, and hot stone massage therapy in addition to spa body treatments. As a former athlete, and with my BSc background I particularly enjoyed working with clients interested in fitness and had several college athletes referred to me from the surrounding area. Often times, I would develop meal plans or workout regimes for my clients as well.
My experience in the medical field has left me with the realization that people neglect the one thing that is essential to life... their health! So I try to encourage my clients to eat proper nutrition, practice healthy fitness habits, and get massages on a regular basis. For these reasons, I have partnered with some amazing women at Luxury Fitness & Nutrition (New Braunfels, Texas) where I'm currently an independent contractor. The services offered at our establishment are designed to help you create a better lifestyle with education, guidance, encouragement, and a little tough love.
