From 2007 to 2009, I worked as a massage therapist in a yoga studio.  During this time, I made meaningful connections with my clients while growing my business, became certified in pregnancy massage and started practicing yoga.

From 2010-2011, I attended nursing school while continuing to provide massage therapy to family, colleagues and friends. During this time, I gained further knowledge in health and medicine,  planted my roots in Charleston, and married my love.

From 2011-2015, I worked simultaneously as a nurse and a massage therapist at a local pain management clinic. During this time, I provided care to patients experiencing chronic pain and inflammation, rediscovered my passion for wellness and preventive medicine, and welcomed my first child into the world.

My goal as a massage therapist, and a nurse, is to help provide treatment and support  in a nurturing environment that promotes and inspires a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

Pregnancy

In 2008, I completed certification to become proficient in prenatal massage and bodywork.

Medical

From 2011-2014, I worked at a pain management clinic. Medical massage was performed on patients suffering from chronic low back and neck pain as part of their wellness routine.

Swedish

The most common and well known type of massage, which features long, flowing strokes toward the heart. The aim is complete relaxation. Swedish massage was a core foundation of my bodywork training.
