"Work to live, do not live to work"

I remember when I first wanted to become a massage therapist even though at the time I had no idea that such a job will ever exist. It was back in the 70's, my grandmother asked me to rub her back for her aches and pains. I gladly took the challenge however I wasn't good, that is, good enough for her.   I remember when I first wanted to become a massage therapist even though at the time I had no idea that such a job will ever exist. It was back in the 70's, my grandmother asked me to rub her back for her aches and pains. I gladly took the challenge however I wasn't good, that is, good enough for her. Instead she asked me to get the girl next door. I was appalled. It was just then that I wanted to prove my grandmother I could become just as good as the girl next door.
I challenged myself to learn all I could about the body and all its function on my own at a very young age. I went on to college to become a Physical Therapist. Yet, I wanted hands on not just manipulation and increase of ROM of the muscles and joints. I went back to school after my children were born. I enjoyed learning at the Palmer Institute of Massage and Bodywork, Salem, MA. Soon after I got a job which I enjoyed for the next five years, and now I have a practice of my own, at Creative Hair & Dragon Fly Spa 28-30 Hampshire street Methuen square, Methuen, MA
I love bringing mind, body and spirit unify for healing physically, mentally and internally through relaxation swedish massage, deep tissue massage, stretching, trigger points, and sport massage. And nothing brings me more joy than to treat and teach expecting mothers how to take care of themselves during pregnancy and postpartum.
I believe that when one enjoys what they do it will never feel like a job at all. I'm one of those.
When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with friends, Go on Vacation with my family, and participate as a PTA in my children's school.

Chair Massage

While working at Elements Massage I had a great opportunity to grow and learn how to incorporate treatment and released stress while on the chair through trigger points and stretches. I had the opportunity to go places and meet new people and these becoming new clients. This is a good way to start a good experience in the magic of massage. This massage is done completely clothed.

Deep Tissue

While at Elements studios in Andover, MA I had the opportunity to grow and learn in deep tissues techniques by attending several workshops and in house training. I have implemented most, if not all, of the techniques learned thus helping clients receive the most of this massage technique.

Sports Massage

This techniques have good results mostly on clients that have had previous injuries, joints pain, and those that are very physically active. This is done through deep tissue massage, trigger points, and lots of stretching. It has been proved to increased circulation to tight spots in the body.

Swedish

Swedish was the first massage techniques that it taught me how to help clients relax and enjoy their experience while on the table. It is soothing, increases relaxation, better blood circulation, and in some cases has even increase the immune system. Swedish massages could be very addictive. You could never have too much of a good feeling and satisfaction. Good way to start if the person has never had a massage before and good way to keep a healthy body, mind, and spirit.

Trigger Point Therapy

It has been said that "it's better to give than to receive" while this statement is very true I must admit it's also very good to receive. I have learned from my own experience by receiving trigger point massage therapy. I learned and have implemented these same techniques on my clients and they have received the same satisfaction and stress, pain relieve.

Pregnancy

When I learned all the benefits that a good relaxation in full body massage brings to expecting mother I knew this is something I wanted to grow in and be better at it. My clients had all have such great experience that most have increased their treatment from a 60 min to a 90 min. This massage it's done mostly facing up, then side ways to get right where most of the pressure is for expecting mothers, lower back and sciatic.

Polarity Therapy

I had the opportunity to learn from the best at the Palmer institute of Massage & Bodywork. While I was a bit less than spectacle of the believe behind energy work and its benefits, I had the best experience and it taught me to be grounded. I enjoyed it just as much or more than a regular hands on massage. My experience was unique to me. I had the opportunity to implement some of the techniques learned and my clients have had good experience and had benefited from it.
