Rakiya Monét Thompson, a licensed massage therapist and lover of all things positive, was born and raised in Memphis Tennessee with her passion for helping others ignited her realization that this is her purpose. Rakiya is a 2014 graduate in alumna of the University of Memphis where she received her bachelors of professional studies with a concentration in Health Administration. In 2016, she began her tenure at Ruch clinic OB/GYN where her interest in prenatal care and women empowerment was sparked. Although her job title was simply a front desk receptionist, her interaction with the patients highlighted her passion for impacting each individual on a mental, emotional, and or physical level. Her interpersonal skills, positive mindset and soothing touch inspired her to pursue a career in massage therapy August 2021. After enrollment at Concorde Career College, Rakiya attained her license accompanied with certifications in stretch, reflexology, and prenatal. Through her business, Touch of Monét, Rakiya aspires to use her expertise in massage therapy to provide an outlet to de-stress, restore balance and promote self loving wellness to help bring out the true essence of divine femininity.
