It's more that JUST self care...

I grew up playing every sport put in front of me.  As a child, I thrived on feeling the thrill of competition and facing the challenge of learning how to top my best performances.  Luckily, I had parents who indulged my interests.  I was taught to not be out-worked.  Unfortunately, this mantra caught up to me late in high school and into my career as a Division I college athlete.  Under-nourished and over trained, my body broke down.  My iron levels and weight tanked to a dangerously low leve...

My iron levels and weight tanked to a dangerously low level and I had an avulsion fracture in my pelvis.

During my time injured, I relied on alternative care.  Yoga and weekly massages became my pathway to return to myself and what made me happy.  I returned, with an agreement to a more balanced training regimen, and earned all-SEC honors in Cross Country.
I went on to earn a BSed in Health Promotion and Education as well as a MA in Sport Studies Research from the University of Georgia.  After working a year in the corporate world, I returned to school and studied Integrative Massage at the Atlanta School of Massage.

I haven't looked back.  I love my career.  I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in Neuromuscular and deep tissue massage for the last 17 years.  Recently, I had the great privilege to be introduced to Myofascial Therapy and study with the man who developed this unbelieveably effective modality, John F. Barnes, PT.

Other modalities I am certified in are:  Level One Qi Gong Instructor, Reiki Master Teacher and I am in the process of beginning a certification in Emotion Code.

I am super excited to join the office of Elite Integration Chiropractic and look forward to seeing many new faces!  I have so much admiration for the work they do there and have sent my clients there for years.  I live in Prosper with my husband, three children and our mini-Schnauzer, Nelly.

REVIEWS for my massage services

Julie is one of the most amazing practitioners. I have been a client for 3+ years and am continually amazed by how much better I feel when I leave her - in mind, body and spirit. I always feel more connected and in-tune with myself after a session. Her new location is ideal - super convenient with great energy and ambience. Of course, I would follow Julie almost anywhere. If I could give her 5 out of 10 stars, I would!!!
