My name is Stephanie Chamberlain. I am currently a massage student with Platt College, nearing the end of my internship and entering my externship. I chose massage because it has always been my hope to help better the lives of the people and world around me. Massage gives me the ability to do just that, one person and one massage at a time.Currently, I am only able to travel to clients, as I am searching for a more permanent location to work from. I have been trained in Swedish Massage, Sports/Rehabilitation, Lymphatic Drainage, Pregnancy, and Spa treatments. My Massage Techniques include effleurage and petrissage movements, cross-fiber, etc. Stretching and manipulating the muscles and joints, relaxing or prepare the muscles for performance purposes have also been a part of my training and techniques. I have my CPR certification through the Red Cross, as well.

Outside of massage, I am active within the Theatre community and hope to one day give back to the very Arts that inspire me daily. Such ways are by donating to the local Theatre organizations here in Lawton; such as, LCT and Cameron University Theatre Arts Program and Blue Moon. Another is by reaching out to local artist to help promote their work within my business. Art is such a wonderful world of expression, a place where the soul shines brighter than anywhere else in this world. Whether it's through painting, writing, singing, acting,etc...Art is everything to me.
I have grown up in Lawton, OK for a majority of my life. My parents were military. My mom was honorably discharged before I was born but my father remained in the military until 2001 before he was honorably discharged as well. I attended LHS and graduated through SCORE at GPTC and received my diploma through LHS in Lawton, OK 2013. From there, I attended Cameron University for my freshman year of College, majoring in Theatre. Acting had been my dream since I was about 3 years old, along with making a positive and significant impact on the world around me. I have three older brothers. One that is very successful, the other two are still gaining their footing and searching for their path. I love my family and they have helped to encourage me on this path I have chosen in Massage Therapy and Theatre. They didn't originally think I could do it, but in time... I proved to them that this is my calling and is the right path for me. I love animals, and music is not only a passion but my sanity at times. I love to write and hope to one day complete a book series I began when I was 17. With the words I write upon those pages, I hope to change a life for the better and bring peace of mind to them, no  matter their situation. I'm a very empathetic person and am open to anyone talking with me, should they ever need to vent or they just need to be heard for a bit. It is my hope to one day incorporate counseling in my business. To further expand the ability for my business to bring healing by extending the mental and emotional aspect and joining forces with a therapist or councilor. For now, I'm content with the healing aspects brought forth my massage alone.
Why Massage? I have seen so much pain upon this earth. Between physical pain and the mental anguish that drains people everyday... I found it difficult to just sit and watch, feeling as if I could do nothing. So I found something worth while that can rejuvenate the heart, mind, body and soul. Helping the body to relax and ease the daily pains and stresses that plague our society, Massage can be that one thing that brings healing. While it may not always be 100%, I can personally attest to how beneficial massage can be. Massage can reduce stress and anxiety, ease chronic pain caused by such illnesses as Fibromyalgia, lupus, etc. It can reduced scarring, speed up recovery time after surgery or injury. It can help relieve migraines. The possibilities are endless. Massage has given my life back to me and I want to share that blessing. It's 100% natural and very effective for many situations. So, to be honest, Massage may just be what you're looking for. Whether you just want some "Me" time, an hour away from the stresses of the world or you have a medical problem that can be improved with massage, don't hesitate looking into how massage can benefit your life and well-being.
