I am a Licensed Massage Therapist with 16 years experience in the industry, I began receiving massage therapy at around 14 years old from my Aunt Vickie, after she completed massage school. Every family gathering included deep tissue work, and she would excitedly share her knowledge of muscles and fascia, and the importance of them working together, as well as how they can become restricted, due to poor posture or injury. This lit a fire in me to follow in her footsteps. Since becoming licensed, I have dedicated my career to assisting in the rehabilitation of acute and chronic soft tissue injury, and massage therapy education. In my practice, I have been fortunate to work with players and athletes from many different teams and sports:
Houston Rockets Houston Marathon competitors
Houston Texans Boston/NY Marathon competitors
Houston Dynamo MS150 teams
Personal Training Staff MMA Fighters
Weightlifters
Golfers
Business Professionals
I believe that a comprehensive understanding of Anatomy, Physiology, and Kinesiology is essential in providing quality care for athletes, and the general population, in recovery from training, prevention of injury, and treatment of injury. I also believe that there is no magic technique to resolve a soft tissue injury. As each client I treat is different in structure and composition, and requires diverse applications of techniques to assist in resolving any particular issue.
I am an avid reader, have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, and I look for any opportunity to expand my skill set through research and implementation. I follow pioneers of the massage industry including Erik Dalton, Paul Kelly, James Walaski, and Thomas Myers.
