Chair Massage

I have provided chair massages for a number of events and charities.

Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue is my specialty! From years of suffering from Chronic Pain I know just how important it is to break up that tension and scar tissue to relieve pain. I work with the bodies nervous system and use a number of modalites to find the relief your body needs. Too Many Deep tissue therapist get in to deep to quick and freak out the nervous system. Which just leaves your tensed up and in more pain. I have created the perfect deep tissue massage. Here is some techniques used..Trigger point, Myofasia Release, Rib Head Adjustments, Up Slip Release for (Sacral illiac Joint) Cyriax Cross Fiber for adhesion's and scar tissue, Orthopedic Massage. Deep Tissue stroke down the ESG's to help with spinal alignment and glutes to help release Sciatic Nerve along with some Muscle Energy Techniques and pin and stretches.

Myofascial Release

I find using myofascial release is best used in conjunction with other massage modalities to warm and soften the tissue. At the beginning and throughout the massage.

Neuromuscular

I love using Neuromucular massage it is so effective preventing and relieving soft tissue injuries, Muscles spasms, and increasing range of motion. along with helping with chronic pain. Working with clients nervous system is a great way to relax the body to release trigger points, compressed nerves, dysfunction and increase circulation. Muscle energy techniques can help trick your nervous system to letting go especially when deep pressure cant be used. I like to show clients how to use this in between massage. to help gain more range of motion, aid in recovery from accidents or frozen shoulder and so on.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone massage is an ancient way of healing not only is it a great way to relax and warm up, but easily melts down to the deeper layers of the muscles. Helps improve circulation and calms nervous system. Some of my clients come in for Hot Stone therapy for a variety of health reasons. Back pain, Poor circulation, Arthritis , Osteoarthritis, Insomnia, Depression. It is not recommended for certain people. Blood clots or prone to blood clots Bruise easy Cancer, chemotherapy or radiation Depressed Immune system, HIV Aids Cancer, Epstein Barr Mononucleosis, Lupus etc. Fever Diabetes Heart Problems Heat sensitivity High blood pressure Inflamed skin conditions Nerve trauma Neuropathy Open Wounds or sores Peripheral Vascular Disorders Pregnancy Recent Surgery Medications that have side effects to heat (please check with Pharmacist if you are not sure) Varicose veins ** If you have any doubt that hot stone is safe for you please check with your doctor before receiving this modality.

Sports Massage

I am specialized in sport and injury massage. Through my extensive schooling and experience. I have worked with division athletes at Portland State University. Olympic and lower league swimmers in both my internships with Everest Institute. I have done Pre/Post sports events. Also provided sports massage in American Cancer Society tent at Hood to Coast event for participants. My clients range from your active enthusiast to Triathlons and Iron man trainers. Sports massage is really rewarding to be able to enhance pre event preparation and reduce recovery time for maximum performance during and after. Its always a great feeling when an athlete comes in and says you helped me increase my speed and time.

Medical

I work with local doctors in Hillsboro and surrounding areas providing massage for clients recovering from motor vehicle accidents and workman comp injuries. I have worked independently with clients and their preferred doctors as well as reffer out. I have also been employed and a independent LMT at two very busy spanish chiropractic offices off and on since 2010 at Centro Chiropractic and Corazon Chiropractic Clinic. I went years with having chronic neck and back pain even underwent disc replacement surgery in 2007. So, I know just how disabling it can be to live with pain. Luckily I got better with massage and other other body work. I feel very fortunate to be able to help my clients recover and ease their pain. I have found with my personal experience and training that i am able to connect well with clients and unraveling their pain and tension. I cater each massage to clients needs and body to find optimal relief.
