Paula's journey into the world of massage and bodywork began at the
young age of 11, as a result of a car accident. She was amazed at the
body's ability to heal through massage therapy. To date, she has
sustained 10 head and neck traumas – ranging from car accidents to
belly-flopping on the Gulf of Mexico. This history of trauma has guided
Paula to find effective ways of healing. By regularly receiving massage
and John Barnes' Myofascial Release, she now lives a virtually pain-free
lifestyle!
Paula became a massage therapist to help people heal themselves as
naturally as possible. She believes that by allowing the body to relax
and tension to be released, the body can function at optimal levels.
Paula has been a massage therapist since 2009. She graduated from the
Minnesota School of Business with her Associates Degree in Massage
Therapy. This program included over 1,000 hours of training in various
modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Pregnancy Massage, as
well as a thorough education in anatomy and physiology. Since then Paula
has received continuing education in the benefits of massage for people
with Fibromyalgia, the John Barnes approach to Myofascial Release and
pediatric massage training. She believes education is key to being able
to serve her clients at the highest level.
She is a professional member of ABMP. In February 2014, Paula became
a Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist, CPMT.
