At Heart of Healing Therapeutics we offer the following therapies: 

 
• Myofascial Bodywork for pain, tissue recovery, scars, and ongoing chronic issues
* Myofascial release is a soft tissue therapy for the treatment of muscle, tissue immobility and pain, and is excellent for pre- and post-op surgeries, scar tissue, loss of range of motion, and a wide variety of injury and discomfort problems.
* The method engages the Myofascial tissue and applies slow, careful, and comfortable pressure until release occurs. This allows slow movement through the layers until complete release is achieved.
• CranioSacral Therapy for trauma release and realignment with the central nervous system
* With touch the weight of a nickel, assists the body both systemically and locally to release, shift, heal, and free up tissues, fluids, emotions, calm nerves, and return the central nervous system into balance. It can include some mind-body work as well as related spiritual work.
* CST therapists are facilitators for your journey, and the goal is to assist you without imposing any particular beliefs or agendas into your experience.
• Medical Massage for injuries, specific area and point-work
* This is for injury and recovery work around auto-accidents, slips and falls, impact, sport, and other types of injuries, and utilizes specific area work during the session.o She does not take insurance at this time but can provide a receipt and session notes for submission to your insurance, doctor, or health-care provider 

Therapeutic Massage

* This is mainly full-body work for relaxation, stress-reduction, and minor aches and pains.

Many sessions, aside from Craniosacral Therapy, can be a blend of relaxation, focused work on sore, injured, or compromised areas, and/or specific area work.

PURPOSE AND HISTORY:
After leaving massage school, Carol found herself drawn to helping people with injuries, physical complaints, imbalances and misalignments, and found that working as an employee in a franchised massage business did not give her the opportunities to help that she desired.
That’s when Carol started her own business, Heart of Healing LLC on March 15, 2016.
After she started her business, she worked as an Independent Contractor as part of The Healing Team, and was with them for 5 years until April 2021.  She also concurrently worked at an auto-injury clinic beginning April 2016, ending that employment in March of 2020 in favor of working on her business full-time.
In January of 2021, she opted to use her trade name, Heart of Healing Therapeutics, as her public business name., and has gone fully independent of other businesses as of April 2021.
Carol continues to study, train, and take classes in expanding and upgrading her skills and knowledge in order to provide better, more focused care.  She has recently added Medical Massage to her skill set.

TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS:
• Carol graduated from the Denver School of Massage Therapy’s Professional Program in Westminster, CO
• Graduated from the Utah College of Massage Therapy’s Master Bodyworker Program
• Certified in Advanced Myofascial Techniques (CAMT) from Advanced-Trainings
• She is working towards Certification in CranioSacral Therapy (CST)
• Training in Neural (nerve) Manipulation with Barral Institute

4 years at an auto-injury clinic - Massage Therapist

This was a great learning experience and I was able to greatly refine and target my skills for working on head, neck, back, and extremity injuries. Using and expanding on my previous myofascial training, I was able to pinpoint 'root causes' and relieve patients' anxiety, pain, misalignments, and compromised muscles, tissues, and range-of-motion limitations. This in turn decreased the length of recovery time and prevented the 'bounce-back' problem that some types of massage create by working only the surface muscles and tissues and not addressing the underlying network of tissue and it's injuries, which in turn kept the injury pain and restriction coming back.

Carol is amazing. I had a seizure a few weeks ago and have been unable to stand up straight due to my glutes and quads knotted up like a rope. Feels like I had a groin strain and possible lower back quad damage. After a thorough discussion of my concerns, she worked on my quad and loosened it up and I was able to walk comfortably out of her office. I was so impressed and happy that I asked if I could hug her! Scheduled 4 more appts. I've had many massage therapists but none like Carol who addressed my exact concern and had me nearly pain free and full of hope. Highly recommend. Once we're done working on my quad, we are going to address an old shoulder injury :)

Carol is always able to meet my needs and gives a wonderful massage. Because of my back and neck issues, I go two times a month. I don’t know how I would survive without her.
