Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and a minor in Health. In 2015, I graduated from the Lexington Healing Arts Academy massage therapy program. At this time, I am currently pursuing further education in prenatal and perinatal massage therapy. I am passionate about being present with my clients and meeting them where they are. I am able to work on any "body" that does not present with a contraindication (meaning a reason I couldn't work on that body), but my main focus is on serving the prenatal/perinatal, geriatric, and those in Hospice.
My path to massage therapy started at a young age when my mom brought me to her Yoga classes. My father worked for the State of Kentucky in Health Policy, which is where I get my strong health influence from. I started swimming for Western Hills High School when I was in middle school and I would often give massages to my teammates on the bus ride home. In high school, I continued toward my massage career, though I didn't recognize it then. When I got to college, I wanted to be a pediatric surgeon. However, I realized there wasn't much room for the kind of relationship and compassion I seek in that field. I set my sights on a career in education, but decided that was not what I was looking for either. After graduation, I worked in a customer service position and then in the legal field. I enjoyed them both, but felt called to do something more. In 2014, after delivering a baby and experiencing an emergency surgery less than two months later, I found myself enrolled at LHAA in their massage program. I have finally stepped into my calling and I look forward to serving you.
