I am passionate about helping people get out of pain and back to living life. My passion for bodywork began as a child. My mother would have me walk on her back and give her back rubs to ease her aches and pains. As I progressed into high school and college, I continued studying massage techniques on my own while I worked on family and friends. I received a Bachelors of Science in Graphic Design in 2004 but decided to return to school again at the age of 29 to become a physical therapist assistant.
In 2011, I graduated from the University of Evansville. It wasn’t long after that I discovered John F. Barnes Myofascial Release in 2012, when I attended my first seminar and instantly was drawn to the work. At the time, I was a physical therapist assistant working in a nursing home. I was using the techniques I learned on patients with great results. While continuing to take Myofascial Release seminars I met a therapist from Scotland who introduced me to Kinetic Chain Release, which was developed by Scottish Physical Therapist, Hugh Gilbert, who had also taken the John F. Barnes' seminars. I began travelling to the east coast, Scotland, and even Hawaii to learn from Hugh Gilbert. I was fortunate to study with him from 2014 until his passing in 2019, and was able to take all of his seminars from him personally.
Hugh introduced me to the Hawaiian healing arts. I went on to study with Aunty Maile Spencer-Napoleon who taught me Kalua Kaiahua’s style of lomilomi, and how to infuse Aloha into everything I do.
I graduated from Bodyworks Massage Institute in 2019 and became a Licensed Massage Therapist to allow me to provide Myofascial Release on my own so that I could help more people.
I continue to travel and take seminars from John F. Barnes so that I may bring the highest level of healing to my clients through Myofascial Release.
