Payment Policy Accepting payment from all of the following in order by preference:  

Cash,Venmo/Paypal,Check,Credit/Debit

**Tipping is always appreciated but never expected. MeganVLMT does not accept tips greater than 100% the service fee charged. 

Late Cancellation/No Show Policy

MeganVLMT of Eden Roots requires 24 hour notice of any schedule changes or cancellation requests. Please understand that when you cancel or miss your appointment without providing 24 hours notice I am often unable to fill that appointment time. This is a hardship on your therapist and also means other clients miss the chance to receive services they need. For this reason you will be charged 50% of the service fee for the first late cancellation and 100% of the service fee for the second late cancellation. After 2 late cancellations MeganVLMT reserves the right to require a credit card to be given to book future appointments so that appropriate fees may be charged if a late cancellation/no show does occur. 

I understand that emergencies can arise and illness can occur at inopportune times. If you have a fever, a known infection, or have experienced vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours prior to your appointment time, MeganVLMT requests that you cancel your session. Inclement weather may also result in the need for late cancellations. I will do my best to give advance notice if I am closing or need to cancel due to bad weather and I ask you to do the same. Please do not risk your own safety trying to make your appointment. Late cancellation due to emergency illness, or inclement weather will generally not result in any missed service charges, but this is determined on a case to case basis and is at the full discretion of MeganVLMT. 

NO SHOW appointments will be charged 100% service fee on all occurrences. Missed service fees must be paid in full before you can get back on the schedule (booked out appointments will be cancelled if payment is no received with 24hours of no-show notification) after a 2nd no show appointment MeganVLMT will require a credit card to be given to book future appointments so that appropriate fees may be charged if a late cancellation/no show does occur

Late Arrival Policy

MeganVLMT requests that you arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow time for an intake interview with your therapist. I understand that issues can arise that may cause you to be late for your appointment. Appointment times are reserved for each client, so oftentimes I can not exceed that reserved time without making the next client late. For this reason, arriving after your appointment time may result in loss of time from your massage so that your session ends at the scheduled time. Full service fees will be charged even when sessions are shortened due to late arrival. In return, I will do my best to be on time, and if I am unable to do so I will add time to your session to make up for the late arrival or adjust the service fee accordingly. 

Open Schedule Policy

When next available appointments are 8+ weeks out I will close my schedule to new clients to keep availability for my regular clients. I will keep my schedule open so appointments may be booked out 3-6 months in advance**

** “Mom First Rule”--Since I may not have my family’s schedules that far in advance I reserve the right to reschedule/cancel your appointment based on their needs. 

Inappropriate Behavior Policy

Appointments with MeganVLMT are for therapeutic purposes only.  There is absolutely no sexual component to massage whatsoever. Any insinuation, joke, gesture, conversation or request otherwise will result in immediate termination of your session and being banned from my schedule for life. You will be charged the full service fee regardless of the length of your session. Depending on the behavior exhibited I may also file a report with local authorities. I am a licensed health care professional and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity and you will be treated the same way in return. 

About Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy creates negative pressure by lifting tissue rather than compressing as in traditional massage.  The application of suction to the body, is a great way to decrease muscle pain, increase circulation, detoxify and relax the body to a degree not possible with compression massage.  The safe and comfortable suction action of the massage cups lifts and separates muscle, rather than pressing it down, which encourages greater tissue nourishment/oxygenation and more effective elimination of toxins from food, lifestyles and environment. Clients often note the quicker and longer lasting benefits of cupping. Thus its increased popularity for athletes needing to return to their sport as quickly as possible.  

Cupping Policy/Release

MeganVLMT is a certified cupping therapist with ICTA. Cupping will not be included in your appointment without a conversation resulting in informed client consent. Upon agreeing to include cupping in your appointment you understand and agree to the following: 

1. There is a possibility of discolorations that occur from the release and clearing of stagnation from the tissue and underlying structures. 
2. This discoloration is not bruising but due to cellular debris, pathogenic factors and toxins being drawn to the surface to be cleared away by the circulatory system. 
3. Discoloration will dissipate from a few hours to as long as 2-3 weeks in some cases. 
4. It is the client's responsibility to inform MeganVLMT at each appointment if you would like cupping included in your appointment. It is also the client's responsibility to communicate with MeganVLMT if the pressure is too deep, too fast, or causes high pain/discomfort.
