Teri had been predominately healthy all of her life, until just a few years ago. She had worked in a high-stress corporate job for many years, accumulating more responsibility and more stress, until her body could no longer support her. As a result, Teri suffered from joint and nerve pain and had muscle fatigue all of the time. She sought medical help from a rheumatologist and neurologist but nothing helped and none were able to find a root cause for her illness. She finally quit her job because she could no longer function well at work. Teri decided to see an acupuncturist and a massage therapist to see if they might help her condition. After months of treatment and an elimination diet, she began to feel less numbness and joint pain and was slowly able to return to her normal daily routine. Teri had suffered from total adrenal exhaustion caused by the stress in her life.
Through acupuncture and massage, she learned about the value of self-care and the importance of letting go of what does not serve the body. Later that year, she began her spiritual journey to wellness and imagined how she could help others that are suffering in the same way. By the following year, Teri had enrolled in Carolina Massage Institute and has been studying and practicing massage avidly ever since.
When Teri is not practicing massage therapy, she is spending time with her family and her three dogs. She loves to garden and has many plants and flowers to tend to. She enjoys cooking, being outdoors, reading and relaxing. She likes to practice yoga, listen to music or take a walk in the woods to calm her mind and body.

Massage Therapy
Trigger Point Therapy changed my massage technique forever. It allows me to quickly release the tension in the attachment point of the muscle and to assist the client to reset the CNS and relax the body.
