Nina is the owner and founder of Madsen Movement and is a
Tulsa-based Registered Somatic Movement Therapist and Educator, Certified

in Somatic Movement Therapy through ISMETA (The International Somatic Movement

of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BFA in Dance in 2005 and an Associated
of Occupational Studies in 2008 from the Swedish Institute College in NYC’s
Massage Therapy program. She also
studied dance at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts and
Teatterikorkeakoulu (The Theatre Academy of Finland) in 2003 and 2004. Nina is
a resident choreographer for Oklahoma Movement, the founder of Erase the Stigma
Through Dance, and has been the proud owner of Madsen Massage Therapy, LLC for
the past 13 years. Her mission is to
guide movers towards reaching their maximum functional and expressive potential
and to find their own unique, authentic voice through movement.

I scheduled an appointment after winning a gift card at a silent auction. This was my first visit. Nina is a warm and welcoming spirit. She shared a little about exciting growth coming soon for her business, how she got her start, and how she supports others in their journeys in this field. She is truly a giver to her community, her staff, and her customers.

Nina's sessions are an integrative approach to mind-body wellness through movement. It doesn't matter if your are young or old, out of shape or the epitome of health - there are benefits for everyone and the sessions are tailored to your physical needs and personal goals. With expert knowledge and a gentle approach, she guides you through each exercise while explaining how and why that particular exercise is beneficial to you. I have a session once a month but have incorporated the exercises into my daily routine (takes less than 10 minutes). What is so amazing is that within a month of my first session, my physical issues improved, my energy level has dramatically increased and I'm feeling better than I have in years!!
