Valery Yuabov received both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Sciencefrom Queens College of CUNY in 1983 and 1986 respectfully.
In 1993 his mother Ester was diagnosed with fourth stage of cancer. As for treatment she agreed to surgery only, refusing to undergo any chemo and radiation.
On advice of her relative, Ester and Valery traveled to their homeland Uzbekistan to meet a holistic practitioner and herbalist. Meeting with Doctor Mukhitdin Umarov was a turning point in their lives for both mother and son.
Mukhitdin Umarov was a doctor in a true sense of this word. His amazing pulse diagnostic abilities and in-depth understanding of human body were acknowledged worldwide. In his village-like town of Namangan Mukhitdin treated about 150 patients a day!
With help of medicinal herbs Doctor Umarov helped Ester to stay in relative health close to 5 years.
During mother’s treatment and for 15 years after her passing Valery was doctor’s apprentice. That included times spend in Uzbekistan and during doctor’s visits to New York City.
In 2017 Valery graduated from New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NYCTCM) in Mineola, NY. He graduated with a Masters in Acupuncture and then returned to NYCTCM to complete his studies in Oriental Medicine with Masters in Herbology.
