I started my massage journey as a client when I suffered from a car accident in 2002, that left me in severe pain from a whiplash injury. At the time I worked downtown Fort Worth at JPS in the private office of three OMF surgeons. Unable to stand for long periods, suffering from the pain, unable to take muscle relaxants or pain pills while I worked in the OR, I turned to a chiropractor for relief. But even after an adjustment, I was in pain again within 30 minutes. I asked the chiropractor, "What can I do?" and he wrote out a prescription for a massage.  

I found a gentleman that specialized in CranioSacral/Myofascial Release and after the first visit I was pain free for three days. I continued with the massage therapist for six more visits and came out the other side free of pain and with full range of motion. I was sold!!

Then almost one year to the date of my first accident, I had another. This time I knew what to do and by the next day I was in to see him.

When it came down to my personal physician calling me out about my health and stress levels, (telling me that I was a walking heart attack waiting to happen) I chose to look at a profession that was less stressful, but I could still help people and I could help support my family.  I knew that massage therapy was the way I wanted to go to help those people that were in pain
