"Touch was never meant to be a luxury. It is a basic human need. It is an action that validates life and gives hope to both the receiver and the giver." -Irene Smith

I love to help others, it's part of who I am. Being able to help others feel better when they are hurting provides me with a sense of accomplishment. I grew up the oldest of eight children. My mother was always busy with one child or another and her back was always sore. My father worked hard to provide for our family and would come home at the end of the day exhausted, but still try to give time to his kids. It didn't take me long to realize that I could help both my parents by simply rubbing their backs or their feet, or in my mother's case, brushing her hair. Fast forward many years and I contemplated going to school for massage therapy but ended up starting my own family instead. Now my children are older and here I am, finally doing what I dreamed of doing many years ago: helping ohters by providing relief and relaxation through massage therapy.

I went to school at Miller-Motte Technical College - Clarksville, TN, Campus and received my license in November of 2015. My favorite work is upper body work, probably because that is the area that I have always had the most issues with over my lifetime. My goals, as far as continuing education are concerned, are to take courses in myoskeletal work, structural integration, trigger point work, deep tissue, craniosacral, Rolfing, and prenatal to start. I currently work in Tennessee, but will be moving to Virginia in August and will be getting my license there so I can work there.

My hobbies include: photography, jewelry making, stained glass, vinyl wood signs
