How much does a person really need to know about a small business owner? I’m not sure, but I’ve decided I’d love for my clients to truly know the person they’re entrusting to take them to a place of still that we so often neglect.
I‘ll start with my name, I suppose, and the boring basics. Like that awkward introduction at a work meeting we all hate. I’m Theresa. I was born and have lived near Champaign for my entire life.

I‘ll start with my name, I suppose, and the boring basics. Like that awkward introduction at a work meeting we all hate. I’m Theresa. I was born and have lived near Champaign for my entire life.
I went to Unity, joined the military at 17, got married at 20 and have raised/am raising three of the coolest kids I’ve ever met. I got my Bachelors in Health Care Administration during my 16 year stent as a stay-a-home mom.
I left my toxic marriage in 2019, (to be clear, I hold no blame or animosity towards my now ex husband. We were just babies, and I’m sure we were equally toxic for one another!) Since then, I’ve spent my time finding myself and discovering who I really am. I learned how to do home repairs and fix a lawn mower. I found my power.
I worked as a 911 dispatcher for the past three and a half years or so, and while I loved the job and found meaning in helping the people of
Champaign County, I decided it was time to step away from “the matrix” and working 50-60 hours a week just to get by. I did what any sane and rational person would do and quit my job to start my own business.
In doing so, I’ve been able to find that still place I mentioned before. I’m eternally grateful for all the love and support of my family, friends, and previous coworkers as I take on this new path. I’m so thankful to God or the Universe, or whatever term you prefer.
One of my best friends, my ”Soul Sister” suggested I join her and her business partner to start this new adventure in live ASMR. These two beautiful souls welcomed me with open arms and supported me in launching my business within a couple short weeks, and we hit the ground running.
When I’m not playing with people’s hair, you’ll find me in nature. Or rather, you can look for me, but you probably won’t find me, as I prefer to be lost in the woods. I often settle for local parks, where I’m a little more findable, though.
Life is truly magic. You just have to remember to look for it and listen for it. Thank you for being part of this magical new phase of my life.
