I started school for massage therapy in January 2013 at MH Vicars School of Massage. At the time I chose this school because it allowed me to continue working a full time job, while spending most of my available down hours with school and study.
Ever since I entered my health field I have been passionate about helping others, expressing my knowledge (I love to learn and dump knowledge on people), and acquiring additional tools to further my skill set. I also am a therapist that likes to blend eastern and western beliefs into my treatments (currently probably learning to more western in needing evidence based theories to try to explain processes.
I hold a variety of certifications including: 2200 hour massage therapy diploma (with honours), thai yoga massage certificate level 1 & 2, reflexology certificates, dynamic cupping, introduction to aromatherapy, and so much more.
I specialize in neck and low back muscloskeletal issues and don't back down from a new condition presented to me. However, I do like to do some quick research to make sure massage won't harm the person either.
When I am not working, I am usually
investing my time into: video games, time with friends, trying new activities,
or obsessing about how to more efficiently run my business/coach others to
better run their businesses with my current experience. I try to travel a couple times a year, and enjoy animals.
