Hello and thanks for clicking on my Bio! I'm a Registered Nurse who decided through my own positive experience with Massage Therapy to go back to school to become one myself! I was experiencing a lot of stress in my position as an RN, as well as poor body mechanics, which led to frequent tension headaches. I was taking medicine for the headaches but after time, found the medication to be losing its effectiveness. Someone suggested Massage Therapy and although a little hesitant, I decided to take their advice. The Massage Therapist was able to give me relief through his skilled touch, which to me, was absolutely amazing! As I continued to get Massage Therapy, I asked a lot of questions and became extremely interested in the field. After several months, I decided that becoming a Massage Therapist simply made sense! It was a way I could spend one on one time with my patients and offer them relief from pain, discomfort and stress in a way I wasn't able as an RN. I approached my husband with my idea and the rest is history! I am now able, as a Licensed Massage Therapist, to put together a plan of care for each individual patient and help them with their wellness goals in a healthy, non-invasive way!
