My mom likes to tell the story of how when I was a little girl, no older than 5, I would just start rubbing on her shoulders with my tiny hands. I guess you could say, massage has always been an instinct of mine though it took a while before I realized it as a career path.
When I graduated from high school, I did as I had always been told to do & went to college, to study psychology. After my fourth semester of classes everything seemed to be running together. I no longer felt challenged in my studies & was concerned with all the classes leaning toward medicinal approaches for psychological issues. "There's got to be a more holistic approach" kept echoing through my mind. I took a major leap of faith & exited my university in order to regroup & determine what direction for me to take. That's when I came upon massage. I delved into researching this fascinating therapy, amazed at how tied into the mind bodywork was. I was smitten & soon enrolled at Natural Health Institute here in Nashville TN.
I graduated in 2011 with an array of modalities under my belt that I have since added & improved upon through continuing education. I currently work in pain management offering the patients in the medical office a natural compliment to their current therapies. Everyday I work with clients who have chronic pain associated with disc disorders or disease, fibromyalgia, injury & more.
With the mind-body connection as my inspiration, I work with an open & welcoming intent determined to help each client realize their own potential in their personal healing journey.
