My favorite quote or personal statement

Write a little something to share who you are and what you represent. Business owners will create a separate business website in addition to this one, so please make sure to focus on yourself here. After all, potential clients want to know who they’ll be coming to see!

Some suggestions to get you started if you’re having difficulty:
  • Why did you become a bodyworker?
  • What is it about your work that you are most passionate about?
  • What types of problems are you most qualified to work on?

Yoga Alliance-E-RYT 500

In 1974, I began studying the Iyengar approach to Hatha Yoga. In 1978, I was chosen to attend an Intensive Training in Pune, India and returned there in 1983 for a second training. I was subsequently among the first teachers certified by the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute. In the ensuing years, I have adapted yoga for special populations, including parkinson's, dementia, wheelchair, and multiple sclerosis classes. I have also created a remedial program for the workplace that addresses the stresses and strains common to office workers for the Department of Health and Human Services. This experience assists with therapeutic massage and body work based on observation, and solving mal-alignment issues common today.

Board Certified, Licensed Massage Therapist

Prior to undertaking massage training, I had a strong interest in Asian energy work. First was completion of Reiki 1 and 2, then later, I began a study of Jin Shin Jyutsu in 1983. By 1999 I had completed the basic studies and began an Asian bodywork practice. When licensure for touch became necessary, I enrolled in Massage School. Upon completion of Massage Training, I embarked on a series of advanced trainings beyond the Swedish Techniques. First I completed certification in Spinal Touch. Then I obtained certification in Muscle Channel Massage derived from the Chinese medical modalities, which joins Tui-na studies which were part of our basic curriculum. I combine all of my studies and training creating for the client a unique approach that reflects their unique requirements.
