I have loved my work, but recently I something felt something was missing. I not only wanted to help people through challenges, I wanted to deeply and quietly touch their soul. I wanted to see people feel good in their body and connect to themselves. I also wanted this for myself. My own body was in pain after the long days at work and I realized I wasn’t using my body in a way that it was meant to move. I wasn’t connecting my body and my brain.
My quest to feel better and gain more vitality began an exploration of awareness through movement. As a conscious dance practitioner of Nia I was introduced to Feldenkrais which is the origin of this work. The Anat Baniel Method has helped me to reduce the habitual tensions in my body decreasing pain significantly. It has awakened parts of me that I didn’t know existed. I have never felt so vibrant and alive in my body.
My son has special needs and in researching ways to help him I learned about the power of brain plasticity. In this work different parts relate to movement and it gives your brain new possibilities. I see amazing results with him.
In my effort to help us both I embarked on the path to become an “Anat Baniel Method Neuromovement Practitioner”.
