Although we live in what has sometimes been called a "touch-deprived" culture, many people (whether they know it or not) have a need for therapeutic contact, and the healing touch that only a well-trained Massage Therapist can provide. But sadly, many  see massage as a luxury reserved for special occassions like Valentine's, birthdays and anniversaries. The truth is that Therapeutic Massage is a MEDICAL NECESSITY. A medical necessity with a 5,000 year history of treating injuries, pain, and tension.

Regardless of size, body type, status, age, fitness level, occupation, or gender, each of my clients has benefitted from massage and it's ability to calm the parasympathetic nervous system and induce overall relaxation, increase circulation, support flexibility, relieve back pain, temporarily lower blood pressure, lessen the impact of depression and anxiety, improve posture, enhance athletic performance, and support the body's ability to heal and self-correct. 

When it comes to my work, be it a prenatal, swedish, deep tissue or hot stone, I believe that each massage should be a unique and organic collaboration between you and me. A collaboration which evolves and improves from one session to the next, as I adapt my methods and protocols to best treat your pain and tension over time. My work can be light as a feather, moderate, or quite deep; it may involve slow stretches or gentle rocking; include a detailed scalp or face massage; and use side-lying positions, if need be. And although my style may incorporate certain "signature" moves, I never give the same massage twice.

Ultimately, knowledge, compassion, a listening ear, patient hands, attention to detail (and your feedback) are vital components in my approach to customizing your treatment and delivering a dynamic, tailor-made massage that heals, restores, and meets your therapeutic needs.
