Growing up all around the PNW, Laura is a self-proclaimed
outdoor enthusiast who understands the physical demand our bodies endure when
we’re constantly active. Laura’s road to becoming a massage therapist began
when she received bodywork while competing as a collegiate swimmer at the
University of Wisconsin – Madison. Regular massage allowed her to compete at
peak performance, without injury, while aiding in her recovery.
Completing the LMT certificate program at COCC has allowed Laura the opportunity to further her knowledge of the human body and form a passion rooted in therapeutic massage. Laura competes in triathlons and various running and swimming races. With her education in Massage Therapy, she better understands the specific therapeutic needs athletes have at different stages of their training. Laura utilizes a client centered approach to customize each treatment to help your body restore balance. She is trained in a number of techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular, and trigger point work. Laura is excited to have the opportunity to bring her enthusiasm for massage to each individual session by creating an environment conducive to healing the body and mind.
