Cranial Sacral Integration was included in my core curriculum at the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy. This modality works with the cerebral spinal fluid to help the body heal itself. The client remains clothed throughout this uniquely meditative session. The treatment includes a series of gentle holding positions to stimulate deep relaxation alleviate muscle tension, headaches, vision and hearing disturbances. The practitioner's touch allows the client's mind and body to focus and become aware of any issues and works to naturally unwind and heal.
I've attended a continuing education course for Shiatsu at the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy. Shiatsu is a Japanese modality that is based in Traditional Chinese Medicine. "Shiatsu" actually means finger pressure - the practitioner uses finger, palms, and knuckles to assess the clients energetic state and rebalance "Kyo" and "Jitsu" in the body's meridians. The client remains clothed during the session and this modality is performed on a mat on the floor rather an a massage table.
I've attended a continuing education course for Thai Massage at the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy. This modality also sometimes referred to as "yoga massage." Thai massage includes a combination of stretching, compressing, rocking, and pulling to loosen muscles and limbs. Client's remain clothes and the session is performed on a mat on the floor rather than on a massage table.
I attended the Costa Rica School of Yoga for 200 hours of yoga teacher training in 2017. I have been a practicing yogi for over a decade and I have been instructing personal lessons for over 2 years.
