Hello, I'm Heather Marquez owner of Athens Therapeutic Massage.
I have been a licensed massage therapist in the great state of Texas since January 2018. In July of 2019, I decided that I was ready to open my own massage business in my hometown of Athens Texas.
I have always loved to help others and knew I wanted to enter a profession where I could help people everyday. That's when I stumbled upon massage therapy! After my first day at Stone School of Massage, I knew this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! I love being able to help people find pain relief and feel more relaxed.
After finishing school, I built on to my education and take more courses in specific massage modalities including, hot stone, cupping, and ashiatsu! I use all of these modalities every week depending on what my clients want and need.
When I am not at the office, I enjoy being with my family.

Heather is extremely knowledgeable of the musculature of the body. She was considerate and empathetic to my particular problem and just the one visit helped me more than I expected. The fact that I made another appointment should indicate that my experience was definitely good!

Heather was professional and kind. She addressed an issue with a muscle in my right leg that has been "locked up" for months, thus providing relief. I am typically anxious, however I was able to relax and receive benefit from the massage.
