After a few years in the corporate world, I became bored with my career path. At the time, I was completing several endurance events (running, cycling) a year and was very aware and amazed about what the human body can accomplish, especially with the proper maintenance and care. So I went back to school and received my B.S. in kinesiology. My goal was to continue through to become a physical therapist. After finishing my B.S., I worked at a local physical therapy clinic for a year and learned valuable assessment tools, corrective exercises, and ways to isolate muscles for treatment. I decided at that point that I really enjoyed the manual manipulation aspect of therapy and went to school to be a massage therapist. I have had the privilege to work as an LMT for the last 3 years. Because of my background in kinesiology and at the PT clinic, I like to take a more clinical or therapeutic approach to massage. I have helped out with the Citi Open the last two years, so I have been honored to be able to work on athletes at the professional and amateur levels.
