While at ECU she worked as a teacher’s assistant and tutor for Elmhurst Elementary and an After School Mentor for the ‘Growing up Fit’ program. Once she graduated she decided to incorporate her work with children and her degree by becoming the Assistant Program Director for CHANGE for Children at the Goldsboro YMCA.

While at ECU she realized the importance of massage. In 2008 she was given the opportunity to change her career path. Therefore, she attended Johnston Community College, completing the requirements for the Massage Therapy program. In 2009 she became licensed. Once she was introduced to Deep Tissue and Sports massage she knew she had found her niche.  She is continually learning to ensure that the Weekend Warrior, professional athletes and the everyday clients reap the many benefits that Massage Therapy has to offer.

REVIEWS for my Bodywork services

Desiree recently gave me a massage, which was simply fantastic. Desiree's friendly nature put me at ease right away. Her soothing music creates the ideal atmosphere for relaxation. Desiree's expertise and skill are visible with every touch. She has an instinctive awareness of the body, knowing where to apply the appropriate amount of pressure and how to effectively relieve tension. Her method is a perfect balance of medicinal and calming, leaving me feeling revitalized and deeply rested. Desiree stands out because she genuinely cares about her clients. She takes the time to listen to your individual needs and customizes the massage accordingly. Throughout the session, she checked in to make sure I was comfortable and altered her technique as necessary. This degree of attention made the experience more customized and effective. Desiree's expertise and passion for her trade are evident in all aspects of her service. I left the session feeling lighter and with a greater sense of well-being. I wholeheartedly recommend Desiree to anyone looking for an exceptional massage session. Her amazing talents and sensitive demeanor make her a great masseur. Thank you, Desiree, for providing a fantastic experience!

She taught me the importance of mobility and massage combined. She was punctual, professional and was able to introduce me to an understanding of my pain that no one had ever done before. She targeted the right areas and I couldn’t help but realize how important having someone like her minimum once a month is.

Desiree is so personable! She connects with you to get you comfortable and selects such tranquil music to keep you relaxed. She also asks you what you need before targeting any specific areas. She has hands of gold. This is the second time using her service and I loved it again.

Desiree does a fabulous job getting the kinks out. She found knots I didn't even know I had and work them out. I felt so much better after my massage.
