When my step mother died of cancer in 2005, I became interested in nutritional healing. I started seeing a chiropractor who specialized in Applied Kinesiology. His care for me and my family changed my outlook on traditional medicine. After I suffered a head injury in 2007 that left me with vertigo and short term memory loss, his drug free treatment with adjustments and muscle testing literally changed my life when all traditional medical treatments failed!
Then my path got a little bumpy, but I recovered with Yoga. After divorcing Satan (FYI: not the father of my children, and not his real name), I went to Yoga Teacher Training at Asheville Yoga Center in NC and healed happily in my 3 week “yoga bubble.” It was a submersion in yoga, meditation and breath work that opened my mind and my heart to a whole new approach to life! I am deeply moved by a quote from Buddha, “What we think, we become”. My new direction of self-care and self-love inspired me to share my gift of mindfulness and healing with others.
I began with studying Naturopathy and Nutritional Healing. It is my belief that health is determined by how we take care of our bodies, the food we eat and the lifestyle we live. It was years of experiences with people and practices that made a profound difference in my quality of life and well being that lead me to Massage Therapy. It created a desire in me to share my “healing touch” in a mindful way.
In 2020, I joined Massage-Ology to train and work with Uma Seaman in Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage and several other Eastern modalities. In Michael Angelou’s last words “Ancaro Imparo” - “And still I am learning “
